Netflix to end Matt Groening’s ‘Disenchantment’ with fifth season

Netflix is bringing its adult animated series Disenchantment to an end with a fifth and final season.

Produced by produced by The Ululu Company, the series, from The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening, will return for 10 final episodes on 1 September.

Set in the world of Dreamland, Disenchantment follows the misadventures of Bean (voiced by Abbi Jacobson) a rebellious, hard-drinking teenaged princess, and her friends, naïve elf Elfo (Nat Faxon) and personal demon Luci (Eric André).

The series, which originally launched in 2018, has a voice cast that also includes John DiMaggio, Tress MacNeille, Matt Berry, Maurice LaMarche and Merman (Bad Sisters) co-founder Sharon Horgan.
