Australia’s SBS picks up Korean dramas ‘Chimera’ & ‘Blind’ from CJ ENM

Chimera

SBS in Australia has picked up two Korean dramas from CJ ENM for its on demand service following a deal with O4 Media.

Chimera, which stars Squid Game’s Park Hae-soo, is a thriller that follows a formidable detective, profiler and mid-career surgeon attempting to solve a series of mysterious crimes.

Blind, meanwhile, follows “a story of unjust victims turned ordinary citizens and perpetrators who turn a blind eye to uncomfortable truths”. Both shows are produced by CJ ENM’s Studio Dragon.

The shows are the latest Korean drama additions for SBS, which has previously acquired The Good Doctor and Cleaning Up. Both Chimera and Blind will be available via SBS On Demand in Oz.

Gary Pudney, founder & MD at O4 Media, said: “We have an office in Australia and have been tracking the growing appetite Australians have for K-Drama from last year. We believe in the power of storytelling, and Korean dramas offer a unique and captivating window into Korean culture.”
