Apple TV+ axes Patricia Arquette’s dramedy ‘High Desert’ following mid-May premiere
Apple TV+ has pulled the plug on Patricia Arquette’s dramedy High Desert after just one season.
The show, which has only been available on the service since mid-May, had been created and written by Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford and Jennifer Hoppe.
Apple Studios was producing, while Arquette was among exec producers. The star played an addict who became a private investigator after her mother died.
The US star confirmed the news on social media, explaining: “A lot of you have asked about High Desert and if there was going to be a second season, we just found out that it won’t be coming back. That’s a sad bummer for all of us.”
She added: “I loved Peggy and that punk rock world,” she added. “You can’t win ‘em all and it sucks. I’ve got this cactus and we’re going to hug it out.”
