Discovery+ sets Vinnie Jones-fronted farm renovation docuseries

Vinnie Jones

Discovery+ has ordered Vinnie Jones: The Wild Life (working title), a docuseries following the Hollywood ‘hardman’ and former footballer as he renovates his West Sussex farm.

Produced by Lime Picutres, the 6 x 60-minute series, which will debut later this year, sees Jones attempt to turn his dilapidated 147-acre property into a sustainable utopia.

Jones’ career as a tough-tackling midfielder in the 1980s and ‘90s and as a Hollywood star, featuring in blockbusters Snatch, X-Men and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, has solidified his reputation as one of the UK’s toughest, no-nonsense celebrities.

But four years ago, Jone’s world was rocked when Tanya, his wife of 25 years, tragically passed away after a long illness.

Now, Jones is looking to the future fronting his very own renovation series, sharing his passion for rewilding and restoring the disappearing British countryside. The series will see Jones and his farming family build, bond and banter as they look to the future of the estate, establishing new conservation methods and the reintroduction of species and building habitats to attract new wildlife.

“Most people know me as a professional footballer or Hollywood hardman, but what people probably don’t know is that all of that hard work has been to support my real passion: my home in the Great British countryside,” said Jones.
