Netflix expands ‘Love Is Blind’ in Germany with Redseven attached
Netflix is expanding its Love Is Blind franchise by ordering a German version of the format.
The show will track a group of singletons who propose to their partners without seeing what they look like and becomes the fifth local version for Netflix, following adaptations in Brazil, Japan, the UK and Sweden.
The 10-episode show is being produced in Germany by Red Arrow Studios-owned Redseven Entertainment and is based on the format from Kinetic Content.
Kinetic had been part of ProSieben-owned Red Arrow until it was sold to The North Road last year.
The commission, which follows Netflix’s local version of Too Hot To Handle in Germany, comes a week after Netflix was forced to apologise after a special reunion episode of Love Is Blind that had been due to stream live failed.
