CBC Gem, Yes, Hot & Pickx+ acquire ‘Love Me’, Aussie remake of Viaplay’s ‘Älska Mig’

Yes and Hot in Israel have joined Belgium’s Pickx+ and Canadian streamer CBC Gem as buyers of Australian romantic drama Love Me.

All four compaies have now bought the first two seasons of the show, which is based on Viaplay’s Älska Mig and is from Warner Bros. International Television Australia Production.

It launched on Foxtel’s streamer Binge, with 108 Media Rights-owned DCD Rights selling globally.

Acorn TV has previously acquired the show for the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands and India, while Viaplay acquired rights across its footprint.

Hulu in the US, Paramount+ for Italy, France and Germany, and Paramount Global across Latin America and the Caribbean, are among other buyers.

Nicky Davies Williams, CEO of DCD Rights, described the show as “a wonderful piece of drama that combines laughter, loss and love in a very authentic and relatable way.”
