MTV Entertainment Studios & Lashan Browning partner for JV Antoinette Media

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

MTV Entertainment Studios has partnered with Love & Hip Hop franchise producer Lashan Browning to launch Antoinette Media, a joint venture production company.

The US-based firm will focus on unscripted series and documentaries, as well as scripted features. It is majority owned by Browning with “substantial equity investment” from MTV owner Paramount Global. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Browning currently produces seven series for MTV Entertainment Studios under the banner, including Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Love & Hip Hop Miami, Love & Hip Hop Family Reunion, Couples Retreat and Caught in the Act.

She previously helped to launch the Oxygen Network and has produced shows for Bravo, OWN, Discovery and Lifetime. Browning also served as co-principal at Red Moxie Productions, where she exec produced titles including Spike TV’s Ride with Funkmaster Flex.

In 2020, Browning was tapped by Nina L Diaz, president of content and chief creative officer at Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios to help grow the amount of content created by BIPOC women.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for producers, as both the quality and quantity of content continue to climb to new heights. Antoinette Media’s launch, along with Paramount’s valued backing, empower us to further build an already extensive body of work and move forward as industry leaders in the production of high-quality, commercial content across genres and formats,” said Browning.
