MENA streamer Evision expands Indian drama, acquires seven MX Player originals

MENA streaming service Evision has acquired the exclusive SVOD rights for the region for seven MX Player original series in a deal with Dubai-based distributor SynProNize.

All of the shows debuted on Indian streamer MX Player as branded originals and are now headed to the E& Life-owned service, including crime drama Dharavi Bank, which tells the story of a cop trying to topple a powerful gangster, who is the de facto government in Mumbai.

Roohaniyat is a romantic mystery drama starring Arjun Bijlani and Kanika Mann, while Aashram is about a Baba who has overpowered the minds of all the people in Kashipur and has risen to a godly status. 

Matsya Kaand tells a story of an honourable con artist – Matsya Thada (Ravii Dubey) who works with aptitude, intelligence, and charm rather than using his brawn, while Thinkistan is set in Mumbai in the 1990s and focuses on an advertising agency, which goes through a series of conflicts.

Pawan & Pooja traces the lives of three couples – all coincidently named Pawan and Pooja, who at different stages of their lives and discover that their love is indeed conditional, breakable, and questionable, and Queen brings to life the story of Shakthi Sheshadri, inspired by true events.

“This collaboration with SynProNize will aim to bring the best and the latest from the Indian entertainment industry,” said Olivier Bramly, CEO of Evision.
