Mediaset España & Fremantle strike ‘Got Talent’ deal

Got Talent Espana

Mediaset España has inked a deal with Fremantle to become the long-term home for the local version of the Got Talent format and ordered the first European edition of spin-off show Got Talent: All Stars.

Got Talent España is currently in production on its ninth season, while the Got Talent: All Stars format launched in the US at the start of the year. The Spanish version of the spinoff will feature winners, finalists, fan favourites, and others from previous seasons from Got Talent España. Fremantle will produce for Mediaset España with launch date yet to be confirmed.

The strategic agreement will also see the companies work together on the “search, experimentation and production” of new family entertainment formats in the model of Game Of Talents.

Nathalie Garcia, CEO of Fremantle Spain, said that the deal “strengthens the ties between the two companies. In addition to strengthening our commitment to ‘Got Talent’ and, now, with the first edition of ‘Got Talent: All-Stars’, we will continue to work together in the development and production of new projects”

Alessandro Salem, CEO of Mediaset España, added that the agreement “moves towards the consolidation by Mediaset España of a family offering in its programming grid”.
