Globo takes French format ‘Mystery Duets’ into Lat Am with Endemol Shine Brasil
Globo in Brazil has ordered the third international remake of French format, Mystery Duets.
The show will premiere its eight-part first season in 2023 as a segment within Domingão Com Huck, a Sunday after programme that is fronted by Luciano Huck. The slot also houses remakes of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire and The Wall.
The local adaptation will be produced internally by Globo, in collaboration with Banijay-owned Endemol Shine Brasil. Banijay’s French prodco, DMLS TV, created the format in 2021 for TF1.
The format has already snagged local remakes in Korea on MBN, while 20 territory development pacts spanning Mexico, India and the US, have also been struck.
Mystery Duets sees a nation’s most famous singers and celebrities perform a duet without knowing who they are sharing the stage with, only finding out halfway throught their performance.
