Paramount+ unveils launch dates in France, Germany, Austria & Switzerland

Paramount+ is to land in France on 1 December, followed by Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 8 December.

The streamer will offer shows form brands such as Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, Showtime and the Smithsonian Channel, as well as a raft of originals.

These include Sylvester Stallone’s mafia drama Tulsa King, Yellowstone franchise spin-off 1923, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

The upcoming French slate ranges from fantasy horror Mask: Marie Antoinette Serial Killer and mystery drama The Signal (Le Signal), which is based on the novel by Maxime Chattam, to rugby series Le Stade, which follows the Stade Toulousain rugby team.

Audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be able to watch Dan Levy’s con-artist series Der Scheich and eco-cyber thriller A Thin Line.

Marco Nobili, EVP & international GM at Paramount+, who is speaking at MIPCOM today, said the launches would help Paramount+ to “continue to see major growth across Europe, becoming one of the top players worldwide.”

The streamer will one available via Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung, Roku , mobile devices and more. A deal has also beens truck with Sky in Germany and Austria, allowing Sky Cinema subscribers to gain access. A similar arrangement has been struck with Canal+ customers in France.
