‘Millionaire’ duo team with Kevin Bacon on new quiz format

UK & US-based unscripted prodco Studio 1 has teamed with US actor and producer Kevin Bacon to develop Lucky 13, an hourlong quizshow format.

The show is created by Studio 1 co-founders Adrian Woolfe and Claudia Rosencrantz, the British duo best known for commissioning the globally successful quiz format  Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in the UK and sending it worldwide, with the new project described as a “high stakes general knowledge rolling quiz format.”

Veteran actor Bacon, currently the star and producer of Showtime crime drama City On A Hill, is on board to executive produce and host the show in some English-speaking markets.

Wolfe and Rosencrantz will exec produce alongside Bacon and David Schiff.

Bacon’s other credits include the upcoming Peacock film They/Them, Amazon’s I Love Dick and Fox’s The Following.
