Rockerdale Studios poaches Mighty Production’s head of development

UK-based Rockerdale Studios has appointed Alex Martin as its first head of development.

Martin has been handed a remit to “supercharge” Rockerdale’s development slate, as the company focuses on expanding its mission to bring “quality, funny content” to all major broadcasters and streamers.

He joins Rockerdale from Mighty Productions, where he served a head of development and created Ex Rated for Peacock and developed the BBC1 quiz !mpossible.

Martin has also had senior development roles at Tuesday’s Child, Shine TV, CPL Productions and RDF. His development credits also include Tipping Point and Sing If You Can for ITV, Married At First Sight for Channel  and Thronecast for Sky One.

Founded by CEO Stu Richards and COO Michelle Singer, Rockerdale Studios is known for its scripted and unscripted comedy content, and titles including Mission: Accessible for All4, Bobby And Harriet Get Married for Viceland and Comedy Central and the upcoming Dine Hard With Rosie Jones for All4.
