HBO Max strikes first-look deal with Omar Sy, star of Netflix’s ‘Lupin’

HBO Max has snagged a first-look TV deal with Lupin star Omar Sy.

The French actor, who made his name on movie The Intouchables before leading Netflix’s hit French drama, will develop series for the streamer that will be available globally.

Sy recently launched his Korokoro label, through which he starred and produced movie Father And Soldier.

The actor and producer said he wanted to develop “globally appealing content for audiences around the world, including French speaking Africa, France and the United States.”

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max, added that she is “looking forward to what we’ll accomplish together in the years ahead amid HBO Max’s increasing global expansion.”
