Netflix & Propagate prep first Spanish casting for Latin talent show ‘La Firma’

La Firma’s judging panel

Netflix has launched its first open casting in Spanish across Latin America, the US and Spain as it preps a new competition show from Propagate and Ntertain.

La Firma (The Signing) aims to showcase undiscovered talent and the culture around Latin urban music as it follows the journeys of artists as they head to Miami in the hope of becoming famous musicians.

The winning artist will sign with talent incubator Neon16, with stars including Rauw Alejandro, Yandel, Nicki Nicole, Tainy and Lex Borrero – who created the show – working together to find new voices.

The show has been developed by Howard T. Owens, founder of A+E Networks-backed Propagate, and showrunner Nikki Boella. Propagate and Ntertain produce.

Alejandro, Reggaeton icon Yandel, singer Nicole and fellow musician Borrero will serve as the main judges. Music producer Tainy will serve as mentor and music producer/supervisor for the competition.
