SpongeBob SquarePants
Nickelodeon has made a bumper order for more SpongeBob SquarePants, with 52 new episodes in the works.
The ViacomCBS-owned kids network has ordered a further 13 episodes of the franchise’s recently launched spin-off The Patrick Star Show, as well as a 13th season of the original SpongeBob SquarePants.
The US studio’s streamer, Paramount+, has also extended Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years into a second 13-part season and added a further 13 episodes to its first run.
The show, which is produced by LA-based Nickelodeon Animation Studio, was created by Stephen Hillenburg and launched in 1999.
It has since been sold into more than 170 countries.
