StudioCanal acquires Germany’s Lailaps Films

French production and distribution firm StudioCanal has acquired German prodco Lailaps Films for its growing portfolio of production companies.

StudioCanal and Nils Dünker’s Munich-based Lailaps have been working together for many years, as the French outfit expands into high-end drama production in Germany.

Lailaps recently launched the adventure drama series Wild Republic on Magenta TV and is currently preparing Gesicht Der Erinnerung for SWR/ORF

The two companies are also co-producing the film adaptation of the Rita Falk bestseller Hannes, which will be released this fall by StudioCanal Berlin.
