Entertainment One rejigs scripted with hire of Fox, A&E alum
Hasbro-owned Entertainment One (eOne) has rejigged its scripted division by hiring Fox drama exec Gabriel Marano and creating an expanded role for Jacqueline Sacerio.
Marano becomes EVP of scripted TV at eOne having previously been SVP of drama & development at Fox, which he joined in 2017 and where he worked on shows including 9-1-1, Lucifer and The Gifted.
Prior to that, Marano was SVP of drama for A&E, which he joined following a near decade-long tenure at Fox Television Studios.
In his new role, Marano will work alongside eOne’s EVP of scripted Sacerio, who has been handed a remit over first look and pod deals.
She was behind shows including Cruel Summer for Freeform and will now work with talent including Constance Wu, Keke Palmer and Sharon Horgan.
Both execs report into Pancho Mansfield, eOne’s president of global scripted TV, who said Marano’s “tremendous breadth of experience and great working relationships” would be “a wonderful asset.”
