ITV spins-off ‘Mummy Diaries’ reality series as star quits
UK-based ITV-owned FTA channel ITVbe has commissioned Billie & Greg: The Family Diaries, a spin-off to its existing The Mummy Diaries reality franchise.
Produced by Potato, part of ITV Studios, the series will follow Billie Shepherd and husband Greg as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
Heading to on ITVbe and VOD service ITV Hub, the series will serve as a rebrand and relaunch of Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries, which has followed the everyday lives of Billie and her sister, The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers, across nine seasons, but Sam and her family are now looking to “take some time away from the cameras.”
The action will now focus on Billie and Greg, capturing all the upcoming milestones for them and their children, Nelly and Arthur.
“We’re delighted to be starting a brand-new chapter on ITVBe and ITV Hub with Billie, Greg, Nelly and Arthur,” said Amanda Stavri, commissioning editor, factual entertainment, at ITV: “The Family Diaries will continue to provide all of the humour, candour and family fun that have made The Mummy Diaries such unmissable TV.”
