Asia Pacific’s Catchplay+ strikes deal for BBC First in Indonesia & Taiwan

Asia Pacific-focused OTT firm Catchplay+ has struck a deal with BBC Studios (BBCS) that will see its BBC First drama offering being launched as SVOD in Indonesia and Taiwan.

The subscription offering via Catchplay+ will provide viewers with shows including long-running sci-fi series Doctor Who, John Boyega-starring Small Axe, and Hear Her, which has been directed by Chinese actress Vicki Zhao.

Existing Catchplay+ subscribers will be able to access all the BBC First content on the platform without having to pay any additional fees. New users can access the BBC First offering for 199 NT a month in Taiwan, or Rp. 45,000 (before tax) in Indonesia.
