Raise The Roof exec Jane Muirhead to vice-chair Pact Council

UK screen trade association Pact has appointed Raise The Roof co-founder Jane Muirhead as vice-chair of the Pact Council.

The council oversees the work of the trade body, signing off budgets and financial plans, as well as agreeing the organisation’s policies, campaigns, terms of trade and collective agreements.

Muirhead will take up her new post with immediate effect and her term will run until December 2022.

The exec co-founded Glasgow-based Raise the Roof Productions in 2010 and serves as its MD, overseeing all operations and the strategic direction of the company, which is behind shows including BBC baking series Flour Power and Phil Spencer’s History Of Britain In 100 Homes for More4.

She currently sits on the Pact Council and co-chairs the Scottish TV Working Group, and also sits on the ScreenSkills TV Skills Council.

“I’m delighted to be given this opportunity to support Hakan (Kousetta, Pact council chair) and all the team as vice-chair on Pact Council,” said Muirhead.

“I have always firmly believed that Pact’s role in providing a collective voice for UK indies is essential to safeguard and promote our position as world renowned content makers.”
