Disney+ hires Sean Doyle from UK’s C4 for unscripted push
Disney has hired Channel 4 commissioner Sean Doyle as its director of original productions for unscripted general entertainment, as part of Disney+’s continued push into internationally-produced originals.
Doyle, who is currently deputy head of features and formats at Channel 4 in the UK, will take on a particularly focus on streaming service Disney+ when he assumes his new position, and will report to Liam Keelan, VP of original productions for Europe.
He has been in his current role at Channel 4 since 2018, dividing his time between Belfast and London. Before that he worked at Channel 5 and the BBC and commissioned series including Celebrity Snoop Dogs for Channel 4 and Channel 5’s Blind Date reboot.
