Channel 4 orders third season and charity outing for ‘The Circle’

Channel 4 in the UK has ordered a special week-long celebrity edition of Studio Lambert’s game show format The Circle to raise money for cancer research.

Stars including drag queen Baga Chipz and actor Denise van Outen are to compete to raise funds for the charity Stand Up to Cancer in the six-part special run, while a third season of the main series has also been ordered, both for 2021.

Both The Circle season three and Celebrity Circle For Stand Up To Cancer are executive produced by Sarah Fay, Tim Harcourt, Oliver Head and Toni Ireland for Studio Lambert North and Martin Oxley for Motion Content Group.

The series were commissioned for Channel 4 by Gilly Greenslade, commissioning editor for factual entertainment, Vivienne Molokwu, commissioning editor for features & formats, and Kelly Webb Lamb, deputy director of programmes and head of popular factual.
