UK’s Wonderborn Studios acquires indie ‘Baby Club’ producer Three Arrows Media

Manchester-based UK indie Three Arrows Media has been acquired by Bristol media group Wonderborn Studios.

The deal will see Three Arrows Media become a subsidiary brand in the wider Wonderborn group while continuing to trade under its existing name. David Hallam and Jon Hancock, who founded the indie in 2015, will remain with the company.

Three Arrows is best-known as a producer of children’s and family media, and has served as co-producer on the CBeebies series’ The Baby Club, Treasure Champs and Andy And The Band.

Headed by group CEO Toby Hughes, Wonderborn Studios is a global children’s and family media group, specialising in the development, production and distribution of family entertainment and education-based media across multiple platforms.

Its acquisition of Three Arrows is one of the first steps in its strategic plan to expand across different media and platforms over the next few years.

Hughes said that the culture of Three Arrows Media “aligns perfectly” with the future direction of Wonderborn Studios, revealing: “The focus will be to grow Three Arrows Media and invest in their capacity to create innovative and engaging children’s and family brands and content.”

“Wonderborn brings with it an expertise which will allow us to grow our brands, and we will continue to have a strong emphasis on developing and producing ground-breaking IP which will inspire and entertain young audiences around the world,” commented Three Arrows co-founder Hallam.
