NATPE Budapest goes fully virtual

NATPE Budapest International has shifted to a fully virtual event and will no longer have a physical component at the InterContinental Hotel in Budapest, Hungary, this year, it has been announced.

The annual marketplace and conference had been planned to run at the hotel between 25 and 27 August, but will now shift entirely to the previously announced NATPE Virtual platform and expand to four days, beginning now on 24 August.

The decision was taken due to ongoing concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic.

“In light of the travel restrictions imposed by Hungary preventing some of our largest global buyers and exhibitors to attend, we have made the strategic decision to switch to NATPE Virtual, a portal that delivers our renowned conferences, online marketplace and online licensing from start to end,” said the organisers.

“So far, we have 300 regional buyers registered and our top distributors are excited to shift to a virtual model offering multiple and cost-effective options such as NATPE V-Fronts, immersive branding and online screenings.”
