Love Nature 4K, White Pine and Blue Ant team for ‘Wild Pacific Rescue’

Wild Pacific Rescue

Natural history specialist Love Nature 4K has greenlit Wild Pacific Rescue , a six parter produced by White Pine Pictures which is being sold worldwide by Blue Ant International.

The 4K series will premiere on Cottage Life in Canada in spring 2021 and roll out across select Love Nature linear and streaming video platforms internationally.

Blue Ant International will handle licensing opportunities worldwide, including the US.

Wild Pacific Rescue focuses on Pacific Northwest veterinarian Dr. Marty Haulena and his team as they rescue and rehabilitate some of the ocean’s most extraordinary creatures.

Orcas, sea lions, dolphins and sea turtles are some of the threatened patients that Dr. Marty finds in the wild and treats at the Vancouver Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Rescue (MMR) Centre.

“The stories in each episode highlight the passion the caregivers at the Vancouver Aquarium bring to their work and the deep connections they have with all animals,” said Carlyn Staudt, EVP, Love Nature 4K. “Wild Pacific Rescue’s breathtaking 4K footage immerses viewers in the beauty of the natural habitat as well as high stakes these wild mammals face.”

“We’re looking forward to making this premium specialist factual content available to broadcasters worldwide,” said Ludo Dufour, SVP of international co-productions and sales at Blue Ant International. “The series provides an up-close look at the urgent threat to wildlife, while also giving viewers heartwarming stories that inspire hope.”

Wild Pacific Rescue is created and produced by White Pine Pictures in exclusive partnership with the Ocean Wise Conservation Association. The series was created by Andrew Munger and is produced by Peter Raymont and Munger.

Overseeing the series for Cottage Life is Sam Linton, Head of Original Content at Blue Ant Media. James Manfull will executive produce the series on behalf of Love Nature. Blue Ant International handles the series licensing.
