HBO Max orders festive dating format from Objective
HBO Max has greenlit a festive dating series, 12 Dates Of Christmas, from Objective Media Group America.
The unscripted series is inspired by Christmas rom coms and is set to debut next year.
It follows a cast of singles whose romantic journey begins at a picturesque Christmas castle. There they enjoy festive holiday traditions like ice skating, sleigh rides, and hot toddies. Along the way are unexpected twists and turns, before the singles choose someone to take home for the holidays.
Objective Media Group America’s Jilly Pearce and Layla Smith are executive producing. The show was created by Michael Beilinson, with Sam Dean as showrunning executive producer, and Suzy Ratner as co-executive producer. Objective Media Group America is part of All3Media America.
“12 Dates of Christmas is inspired by our love of Christmas rom coms past and present. It’s a romantic, fun and feel good dating show with a difference, and has the perfect home with HBO Max,” said Pearce.
“The holidays can be a magical time for budding relationships and where better to find your perfect match than in this real-life fairytale castle in the snow?” said Jennifer O’Connell, executive vice president original non-fiction and kids programming at HBO Max.
WarnerMedia’s streaming service HBO Max is set to debut in spring 2020.
