The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) has made a series of appointments to its board of directors, including the addition of Telemundo exec Peter Blacker and All3Media International CEO Louise Pedersen.
The All3 exec and Blacker, who is EVP of revenue strategy & innovation for Telemundo Enterprises, are joined by president of Viacom Digital Studios Kelly Day, managing partner of Meridian Advisory Group (MAG) Shahid Khan, and CEO of Verance, Nil Shah.
The appointments, effective immediately, were jointly announced by Andy Kaplan, NATPE’s chairman of the board, and JP Bommel, president and CEO of NATPE. Each new appointee will serve a term of three years.
“Our board is stronger than ever now that these important voices have been added to the content conversation that is central to our organisation,” said Kaplan. “This upcoming year is set to be one of the most important in media and the worlds in which NATPE lives are intersecting like never before.”
Bommel added: “Given the current market dynamics, the NATPE board is emboldened by the addition of five leaders in their respective fields. They have first-hand experience of the profound industry disruption taking place today, and have demonstrated excellence in adapting quickly to these changes.
“Their wisdom and confidence will continue to shape NATPE as the leading global content association.”
The appointments come ahead of NATPE’s flagship event, NATPE Miami, which takes place 21-23 January at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, Florida. The event offers keynotes, masterclasses and networking opportunities, with tracks including a Station Group Summit, Streaming Plus, Brands x Content, International Focus, Content Innovation and Unscripted.
