Insight TV expands Stateside with third-party studios operation
Ultra high-definition broadcaster Insight TV is expanding production and sales operations to the US with the launch of Insight TV Studios.
The 4K broadcaster’s new outfit will develop and produce original content for third-party broadcasters and digital platforms. It is actively seeking co-production partners and brands to help finance series and live TV event programmes.
The firm, which has to date specialised in adventure and sports programming, will also work with brands to develop cross-platform content geared for millennial audiences. It has already produced documentaries for energy drink Monster Energy, including Jnida, The Fast Life, about a 24-year-old female drag car racer.
Natalie Boot, head of media sales for Insight TV, will oversee Insight TV Studios with Mark Romano, VP of Americas, based in the company’s New York offices.
Insight TV Studios will also license content from the broadcaster’s library of original content, all of which is filmed in native 4K UHD HDR and available in HD and UHD. Shows available for licensing include Car Crews With Supercar Blondie (6 x 48 minutes), Epic Exploring (10 x 44 minutes), Modern Day Gladiators (4 x 44 minutes) and Story Of Masters (4 x 40 minutes).
Rian Bester, CEO of Insight TV, said: “Insight TV has established itself as a leading producer of 4K UHD content for its linear and digital channels around the world having produced over 550 hours of content. Now, we are expanding our production services to also create original programming for third-party media platforms in the US.
“We will be seeking co-production partners that complement our high technical standards and continue our work with US brands like Monster Energy to produce exciting content targeted for millennial and Gen-Z audiences.”
Natalie Boot, head of media sales for Insight TV, added: “Over the past couple of years, we have seen the market for high-quality content for millennial audiences accelerate. Insight TV is in the unique and fortunate position to have international rights to an extensive library of original 4K UHD content that speaks to the millennial lifestyle and their interests. Whether we are producing content specifically for a broadcast or digital platform, or licensing content from our library, Insight TV’s signature is engaging, quality content that stands out in a highly competitive US TV market.”
