ZED expands history slate with Arte’s Ku Klux Klan show

Ku Klux Klan, An American Story

French producer and distributor ZED has acquired three yet-to-launch projects commissioned by Arte France, including a show about the Ku Klux Klan.

Ku Klux Klan, An American Story is being directed by David Korn-Brzoza and will use archival footage and interviews to explore the story of the racist organisation and its impact on the US. The 2 x 45 minutes and 1 x 90 minute special will be delivered in September 2020 and is from Roche Productions.

ZED is also onboard Arte France’s show Blood Money: Inside The Nazi Economy (2 x 45 minutes and 1 x 90 minutes), which is directed by Gil Rabier and features 3D animations and archive material to examines the rise and fall of the Nazi regime through its economic system. It is being produced by Gogogo Films and will deliver in 2020.

The second season of History Uncovered, which explores key moments of the 20th Century, has also been added to ZED’s catalogue. The series is from Cinétévé with Bernard George, Cédric Condom, Philippe Saada, Christina Ratiney, Mickael Gamrasni and Déborah Ford among directors.
