Chinese Film & TV Exhibition hails global participation
Jianing Shen, EVP of CITVC (China International Television Corporation), has unveiled the exhibitor line-up and conference agenda for 2019’s China International Film & Television Programme Exhibition, which takes place in Beijing on September 11 and 12.
In particular, Shen talked up the high levels of participation from international media and content partners: “We are extremely pleased that the 16th CIFTPE has drawn such global interest, especially from the several Embassies and trade organisations that are coming to Beijing to share their experiences, especially in drama series. Alternately, major Chinese producers and broadcasters will also highlight some of their latest and greatest projects.”
Around 8000 delegates are expected to attend including representatives from NATPE, KBS Media, Korean Creative Content Agency KOCCA, NHK and MediaCorp TV Singapore. Also present will be major Chinese OTT platforms such as iQIYI, Tencent, Youku.
According to Shen, the conference programme will feature global executives from streaming platforms, major international studios, and media technology experts. Topics will include creative discussions around modern dramas, and presentation for producers on how to navigate the international content industry.
