A+E’s Crime+Investigation launches in German-speaking markets
A+E Networks’ true crime channel has expanded its European footprint, launching in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Crime+Investigation, which will launch with regular programmes as well as local commissions, will be available in 4m households via pay-TV platforms Sky, Telekom, Vodafone, Unitymedia, 1 & 1, M7, UPC (Switzerland and Austria), Teleclub, Content4TV, SuisseDigital, A1, Liwest and 3.
Crime+Investigation Germany launches with a local commissioning slate that includes The Invisible Line, which is currently in production and shooting at locations across the US and will TX in Q4. More local commissions are in the pipeline for 2020.
Also launching is documentary Surviving R Kelly: The Impact and Charles Manson: The Dark Legacy, which marks the 50th anniversary since the Manson Family murders.
In 2019, Crime+Investigation UK has been reaching 2.5m viewers a month with ratings up by 20% year-on-year. Key titles for the UK market include Netflix co-production I Am A Killer and Murdertown.
In May, dedicated SVOD service Crime+Investigation Play launched on Amazon Channels UK.
