Talesmith, Cineflix to co-produce ‘Takaya: Lone Wolf’
Talesmith has partnered up with Cineflix and Wild Wolf Media to co-produce Takaya: Lone Wolf (WT), a documentary special for BBC4, CBC and ARTE that explores humankind’s historic relationship with wolves.
The 1 x 60-minute series tell the story of a lone wolf living against the odds and its incredible bond with one woman – wildlife photographer Cheryl Alexander.
Takaya: Lone Wolf is executive produced by Martin Williams for Talesmith, André Barro for Cineflix, and Gaby Bastyra. Cineflix Rights has exclusive worldwide distribution rights.
Martin Williams, CEO and creative director of Talesmith, said: “Takaya: Lone Wolf will provide viewers with an inspirational story of one animal’s resilience, survival, and adaptability. But it’s also a story of how people interact with wolves, both through Cheryl’s extraordinary relationship but more widely about how humans can co-exist with an animal perceived by some as a dangerous threat.”
André Barro, executive producer, Cineflix added: “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with the talented team at Talesmith on this incredible and unique Canadian story. We’re expanding our co-production business at Cineflix Media and Takaya: Lone Wolf is a great example of an exciting partnership that combines expertise and resources to bring more engaging content to viewers worldwide.”
