NBCU buys Murders procedural for international networks

NBCUniversal International Networks has acquired crime procedural The Murders for Europe and Africa. 

The business picked up the Canadian drama from About Premium Content for the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Poland and Africa from mid-2019.

Created by Damon Vignale (MotiveBlackstone) and produced by Muse Entertainment in association with Rogers Media-owned CityTV, the 8 x 60-minute drama follows rookie homicide detective Kate Jameson, who must rectify a critical error made on the job with fatal consequences. Set in Vancouver, Kate must grapple with guilt and challenging personal and professional relationships as she navigates complex cases where her values and loyalties will be tested.

The Murders will premiere in the UK and Africa on Universal TV and on 13th Street in France, Spain, Germany and Poland.

Executive producers include Vignale, Jesse Prupas, Michael Prupas, Shawn Williamson, Jamie Goehring and Jessica Lucas. Arielle Boisvert is a producer. APC is overseeing international sales.
