TVF inks first-look deal with Mediacorp

Factual distribution firm TVF International has inked a first-look, two-year, deal with Singapore’s Mediacorp.

In the deal, TVF will represent titles such as Channel NewsAsia’s Vanishing Foods (8×23’), luxury lifestyle series Luxe Asia (40×23’) and current affairs title The New Silk Road (18×48’).

The deal builds on the 80 hours of Mediacorp content already represented by TVF. Recent titles in the distributor’s catalogue include 4K travel series Aerial Asia (4×46’), investigative series Undercover Asia (17×48’), landmark history series The Asian Century (8×48’) and Mobeen Azhar-fronted current affairs series Power & Piety (5×46’).

Julian Chou-Lambert, acquisitions manager at TVF International, brokered the deal.

He said: “TVF have worked very closely with Mediacorp over the last few years to develop and place their fantastic factual programmes across the world. The range and quality of their productions, covering everything from global current affairs and insightful history to high-end travel and food, make them a great fit for TVF, and we’re delighted to be taking our collaboration to the next level.”

Doreen Neo, chief content officer at Mediacorp, added: “Mediacorp and TVF have enjoyed a good working relationship for the last four years, and we are glad to strengthen our partnership with the signing of the First Look Contract. We want to show our commitment to this collaboration and we are confident that the TVF team will help us further expand our footprint worldwide.”
