Red Arrow’s Pabst joins ProSiebenSat.1’s entertainment division

Red Arrow Studios International president Henrik Pabst has been promoted to a newly created senior executive position Red Arrow-owner ProSiebenSat.1’s entertainment division, effective from January 1, 2019.

Bo Stehmeier will succeed Pabst as president of Red Arrow’s distribution business and report to Jan Frouman, chairman and CEO of Red Arrow Studios. He will oversee Red Arrow Studios International and US independent film distributor Gravitas Ventures.

In Pabst’s new role, which has been established to optimise rights management and commercial deal making across group’s linear and digital entertainment platforms, he will be responsible for all commercial matters relating to local content commissioning, IP monetisation, windowing and content acquisitions.

Pabst will report to Conrad Albert, deputy CEO and group general counsel at ProSiebenSat.1, and Wolfgang Link, head of ProSiebenSat.1 Deutschland.

In addition, Pabst will join ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland’s management board. Further details on his new role will be revealed in coming months.

Pabst joined Red Arrow in 2011, taking responsibility for Red Arrow Studios International in 2014.

Frouman said: “Henrik has played a pivotal role at Red ArrowStudios. He is a highly commercial and hugely likeable executive and I’d like to thank him for his work over the last seven years. I would also like to congratulate Bo and look forward to working with him to continue to develop Red Arrow’s distribution capability.”

Link added: “Henrik has been an instrumental part of our Group family for years, and has an in-depth knowledge of the international entertainment industry. I am looking forward to working with him to further develop our offering of first-class entertainment on all platforms for our viewers and consumers.”
