Epic Story Media secures funds from Bron

Epic Story Media, recently formed by kids TV veteran Ken Faier (pictured), has secured investment from Bron Ventures which has taken a minority stake in the company.

The backing from Bron, a subsidiary of Bron Media Corp, will allow Epic Story to further invest in high-end children’s IP for the international market.

Bron will take a seat on the board at Epic Story, which will remain independent and continue to look for strategic partners for its properties. The aim for Faier is to make Epic Story a full-service franchise company.

Faier launched Epic Story in 2017 with the aim of putting creators at the centre of compelling and engaging franchises for kids. The company has an active slate of properties in development and will launch two of them at MIPCOM including Haley and the Hero Heart.

“Bron is a like-minded, well capitalized, creatively driven company and having them as a strategic and financial partner deepens the brain trust at Epic Story Media,” said Faier.

“The investment provides us further capital to continue to make significant investments in creator driven kids’ franchises. As a business, Bron is renowned for backing companies and people with a vision for growth through IP. Building kids franchises takes great creators, deep development, astute business acumen and talented brand management. Bron understands this and I am pleased to have them as long-term partners.”
