Kew Media Distribution appoints business development VP
Kew Media Distribution has hired Graham Begg to oversee business development and producer relations.
The newly created role will see the exec serving as producer liaison on content acquisitions across all genres, working closely with the company’s suppliers to ensure efficient collaboration with the distribution team.
The London-based Begg – whose official role is VP of business development and producer relations – will also manage new business opportunities, including forming strategic alliances and evaluating programming for acquisition and ongoing representation.
Prior to joining Kew Media Distribution, the exec established GB Media & Entertainment Consultants to provide consultancy, advisory, business affairs and executive producer services to the entertainment industry.
Before that, he served as head of film finance at Content Media Corporation, which rebranded as Kew Media Distribution following its acquisition last year.
Greg Phillips, president of distribution at Kew Media Distribution, said: “We’re very proud of our strong reputation on the global stage for ensuring that production companies retain a central role throughout our distribution activities. Graham’s appointment underlines our continued commitment to building on this success and will further position Kew MediaDistribution as the go-to sales house for top production talent across all genres.”
Begg added: “Television content is more popular than ever with the quality and appeal of primetime drama, event programming, and signature non-scripted features and series continuing to rise across the globe. I am delighted to be re-joining Greg and his team at Kew Media Distribution at an exciting time in the company’s growth, and to play my part in their continued success as a leading producer and distributor of multi-genre content worldwide.”
