ITV CEO Carolyn McCall is set to deliver a keynote at MIPCOM, where she will touch on ITV’s plan to grow UK and global productions.
Taking the MIPCOM stage for the first time since joining the broadcaster in January, McCall will outline ITV’s “More Than TV” vision and its plan to grow international production.
She will explain that ITV plans to work with creative teams around the world to meet the growing global demand from broadcasters and platform owners for brand-defining content.
The “More than TV” philosophy is designed to build on ITV’s combination of creativity and commercial strength and aim to enable the broadcaster to drive profit from three separate sources: advertisers, broadcasters/platforms and consumers.
Prior to joining ITV, McCall was CEO of leading European short haul airline easyJet for nearly eight years.
This year, MIPCOM’s overarching conference theme will be “The Big Shift,” which sets out to examine the paradigm shifts affecting content creation, distribution and monetisation – a topic that will be tackled by a string of top-level industry figures.
