UK’s My Dad Wrote a Porno heads to HBO
The UK hit podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno is set to appear on HBO in the US as a comedy special in 2019.
The podcast, which is hosted by Jamie Morton, James Cooper and Alice Levine, finds the trio reading through a series of erotic novels written by Morton’s father.
The special will feature the crew reading a chapter from the Belinda Blinked series.
It will be produced by Done and Dusted, executive produced by Jamie Morton, James Cooper, Alice Levine and Rocky Flintstone and directed by Hamish Hamilton.
“My Dad Wrote A Porno shows the extent of just how embarrassing dads can be, in the best possible way,” said Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president of HBO Programming. “James, Jamie and Alice transformed a very awkward situation into an undeniably hilarious experience that we’re excited to share with our audience.”
HBO has made a habit of creating programming out of podcasts, recently tying up with the Pod Save America hosts for a show that follows the autumn campaign trail in the US.
