CSI duo launch new prodco, partner with Vesuvius
LA has a new independent producer: Louis Shaw Milito (pictured) and Phil Conserva (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) have announced the launch of Boilermaker Entertainment.
The new company will be headquartered in LA and will create and produce dramatic television, feature films, and unscripted programming.
A key driver of the new company will be an exclusive first-look partnership with Vesuvian Media Group (VMG) to develop and produce Vesuvian’s extensive library of titles across all genres.
Boilermaker’s co-founders say they are already working toward bringing multiple projects to the big and small screen, including the forthcoming novel based on the true story of the historical pirate Black Caesar by Sam Davis (Spring 2019) and The Retreat, a new thriller by bestselling UK author Mark Edwards.
“We both love storytelling and the power and privilege to entertain an audience,” Milito and Conserva said. “Having worked together for many years, we are excited to bring our production experience and storytelling acumen to the market. Our alliance with Vesuvian’s growing library of IP, and Italia Gandolfo’s eye for great writing, creates a powerful partnership with almost endless opportunities to provide engaging drama to all audiences.”
Vesuvian boasts an extensive library of fantasy, horror and YA properties. Popular authors include Jonas Saul and AnnaLisa Grant, whose breakout hit The Lake Series sold over one million copies.
