Nat Geo secures Royal Wedding specials from Spun Gold

National Geographic is the latest broadcaster to unveil its plans for the upcoming marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with two royal wedding specials premiering later in May.

Leading up to the wedding, National Geographic will premiere Prince Harry’s Story: Four Royal Weddings, which charts Harry’s journey from childhood through the prism of key matrimonial turning points in his life.

Featuring royal footage, newsreels and commentary from royal sources, historians and journalists, the one-hour special focuses on the marriages of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales; Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge; and Prince Harry’s own upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle.

Premiering on Wednesday May 23, four days after the wedding, the second special, Operation Royal Wedding, will reveal what it takes to pull off such a big event, shining a light on the unsung heroes who ensure every detail is perfect.

Both specials are being produced by Spun Gold TV. Prince Harry’s Story is being distributed internationally by All3Media.
