Portfolio taps new VP production Marianne Culbert

Portfolio Entertainment has named Marianne Culbert as its new VP of production. Culbert, an award-winning kids producer, brings over 30 years of animation studio service and content production experience to Portfolio and will report directly to Portfolio’s CEO and co-founder, Lisa Olfman.

In her new role, Culbert will oversee the production of all of the company’s animated properties as well as managing Portfolio’s animation studio. She will be involved at the onset of each project, working closely with Portfolio’s partners on projects.

Prior to joining Portfolio, Culbert worked on series such as Little Bear, Max & Ruby, Braceface and Jim Henson’s Dog City. Toronto-based Portfolio’s most notable projects include The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! (PBS/Treehouse); DOKI (Discovery Kids); and Freaktown (Teletoon). Its distribution division also represents 1500 half-hours of programming.
