Eleven’s comeback in October has left an impression, as demand continues toward the end of the year. Stranger Things came up in first place for the digital top ten, generating roughly three times higher demand than Star Trek: Discovery, which appears in second place.
The Netflix original series also appeared in second place on the overalls list, generating 300,000 more demand expressions than the ever-popular The Walking Dead, which came in third place.
Marvel’s The Punisher has shown strong popularity since its launch in November and comes up third in Hungary’s digital originals list. The series, which has also now been renewed for a second season, has 23% more demand than Mindhunter (pictured), which comes up fourth on the list.
Mindhunter is another new Netflix drama original, which launched its first season on October 13.
Perhaps surprisingly, Netflix’s The Crown appears ninth on the list, despite recently launching its second season. It is surpassed by Amazon’s The Grand Tour, Black Mirror, Gilmore Girls: A Year in Life and new German drama Dark.
On the overalls list Game of Thrones continues to reign supreme despite ending its latest season months back. It generated near one million more demand expressions than Stranger Things.
The two dominating shows are followed by The Walking Dead, which comes in third place in the midst of its eight season.
Star Trek: Discovery and Marvel’s The Punisher also appear in the overalls list, coming up seventh and ninth place, respectively.
The Big Bang Theory, Vikings and Grey’s Anatomy come up fourth, fifth and sixth place. The shows have a long-term popularity often appearing in the top ten through Europe.
Coming in eighth and tenth place are Supernatural and Lucifer.
