Pilgrim signs Lip Sync Battle’s Greenberg
Pilgrim Media has signed a development and production deal with Josh Greenberg, the showrunner and co-executive producer of Lip Sync Battle.
Greenberg will develop and executive produce a range of formats in the music competition space, as well as other unscripted content.
He will work closely with Pilgrim’s chief creative officer, Johnny Gould, and the company’s vice president and head of development, Nicole Silveira.
Pilgrim and Greenberg’s first series to market will include music competition shows The Protégé and The Music Makers.
Piligian said: “Josh Greenberg has been one of unscripted’s key creatives in the music and performance competition space, and we believe his expertise and bold approach is a great fit for Pilgrim. We’re excited to be working with Josh and to take these and many other series out to the marketplace.”
Among many accolades, Greenberg has served as executive producer for 2017’s MTV Movie & TV Awards and executive produced The Sing-Off for NBC and America’s Best Dance Crew for MTV.
