AMC Networks International (AMCNI) has promoted Balázs Hajós to vice president of affiliate sales for Central and Northern Europe.
Hajós existing responsibilities, which saw him act as regional director of affiliate sales for AMCNI’s Budapest-based office, will be expanded to include oversight of all sales activities for the network’s portfolio in the Baltic States, Russia, Ukraine and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
In addition, Hajós will be responsible for the distribution and revenues of over 30 territories and 15 channel brands, in addition to developing key accounts and collaborating with the senior management team on overarching strategic plans.
Previously Hajós oversaw the development of new distribution opportunities and formulated business development strategies for the organisation in the Budapest office.
Hajós will continue to be based in Budapest, headquarters of AMNCI’s Central and Northern European business.
Working for AMC since 2007, Hajos has previously served as head of the Central European markets for the Canal+ Group.
