Discovery Networks International
Discovery Networks International will look to highlight four new documentaries at its MIPCOM booth this year.
The slate will include docs on the human experience. Above & Beyond: NASA’s Journey To Tomorrow will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the institution and shines a spotlight on the vital role it plays for humanity and First In Human reveals how medical breakthroughs of tomorrow reach the mainstream.
Discovery will also bring in two docs looking at the real life experiences of Princess Diana and JonBenét Ramsey. Princess Diana: Tragedy or Treason? will look at the tragic night that Diana passed away and the conspiracy theories that surroun it.
JonBenét: An American Murder Mystery is an unabridged and comprehensive look at the entire case around JonBenét Ramsey’s murder, from top-to-bottom.
A+E is set to introduce three formats for the global marketplace at MIPCOM, including Live PD, Undercover High and Making a Model.
Live PD is the real-time crime series that has already made waves in the industry. It follows the activity of multiple police officers in multiple cities across the country on a typical evening patrol.
Also on this list is new series Undercover High, a social experiment in which adults with youthful appearance go undercover as teenage students to find out what is really going on in schools today.
Lifetime will bring in Making a Model, a brand new modelling competition when teen models compete with manager mothers in tow.
