Kew completes first deals since Content rebrand
UK-based distributor Kew Media has unveiled its first sales since rebranding from Content Media Corp.
The company has sold broadcast rights to the upcoming Emmy Awards to 200 territories.
This comes after the Toronto-based Kew Media Group earlier this month unveiled a rebranding of its sales arm under the Kew moniker.
That followed Kew’s February acquisition of Content, which was one of six deals that created a new international production and distribution company.
The Emmys will take place in LA on Sunday (September 17), and is to broadcast as a three-hour special and a one-hour pre-show event.
It broadcasts on CBS in the US, and has been sold to Turner (German-speaking Europe and Latin America), Fox (Asia and the Netherlands), Star (India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan), RTÉ (Ireland), Telefonica (Spain, Spanish-speaking Andorra), Amedia (CIS, Georgia) and SIC (Portugal, Angola, Mozambique).
Other channels such as HBO Europe have signed just the three-hour show.
