Former Spike TV content chief Sharon Levy has joined Endemol Shine North America.
She recently left her role as executive VP of original series at Spike, which is soon to be branded as the Paramount Network.
There she had spent twelve years working on scripted series such as Tut and unscripted shows such as Ink Master and Bar Rescue.
Before Spike, she was senior VP and executive producer at Stone Stanley Entertainment, where she worked on unscripted series such as Popstars and The Mole. She began her career at Comedy Central.
The role at Endemol Shine North America is a new one, and will see her reporting to Cris Abrego, whose post as changed since previous co-CEO, Charlie Corwin, exited last November.
Abrego is also chairman of Endemol Shine Americas.
“Sharon is one of our industry’s most well-respected executives and brings with her a tremendous amount of experience developing and producing hits across a wide array of genres,” says Abrego. “We’re thrilled to have her joining our team here at Endemol Shine and leading our programming efforts going forward.”
Levy said she was keen to return to her producing roots, adding: “There’s a lot of momentum across the unscripted and scripted divisions and I can’t wait to get started with the incredible team.”
Endemol Shine North America’s programmes include CBS’s Big Brother, Fox’s MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, and Swamp People for History.
