BBC Worldwide nets launch on Polish OTT service

Planet_Earth_II_2_(c)_David_WillisCyfrowy Polsat-owned OTT TV service Ipla has added three BBC Worldwide channels to its programming line-up.

Ipla is adding BBC Brit, the ‘best of British’ channel featuring a mix of factual entertainment programming, including Top Gear, to its Ipla Rozrywka and Ipla Wiedza News Rozrywka packages.

The OTT TV service is also offering natural history channel BBC Earth, featuring shows including David Attenborough-fronted Planet Earth II (pictured) to its Ipla Wiedza i News and Ipla Wiedza News Rozrywka packages.

Finally, Ipla is adding kids channel Cbeebies, offering shows including Teletubbies, to its Ipla Dzieci package.

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of UK pubcaster the BBC, launched BBC Brit and BBC Earth in Poland in November 2014. BBC Brit replaced the former BBC Entertainment, while BBC Earth took the place of BBC Knowledge.

BBC Worldwide had previously introduced BBC Lifestyle, Cbeebies and the BBC HD channel to the Polish market.
